Printed CCC Mark Now Permitted Under Pilot Program
Under this pilot reform by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA), qualified CCC-certified products can now use a printed CCC mark issued by an assigned authority, replacing the previous requirement for manufacturer-produced labels. This new printed mark must adhere to existing CCC management rules and feature a compliant traceability QR code that links directly to product certification information.
Manufacturer Responsibilities and Compliance Strengthened
The CCC mark reform does not alter any technical standards or introduce new testing, licensing, or spectrum-related requirements. However, it mandates reinforced internal controls from both manufacturers and certificate holders. They must ensure product consistency, accurate label usage, and robust traceability documentation that aligns with established CCC mark protocols.
Enhanced Supervision and Post-Market Enforcement
CNCA has highlighted increased scrutiny and post-market inspection for products participating in the pilot. Non-compliant labeling or misuse of the CCC mark could result in regulatory action. Importantly, there are no changes to HS codes, customs procedures, or import documentation — the reform focuses solely on labeling procedures and post-approval oversight.
