Indonesia Telecom Certification Rule Changes: New DoC Format Now Mandatory
A major change in Indonesia telecom certification has been announced by the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (DJID). As of August 1, 2025, all certification applications for telecom equipment must use a revised Declaration of Conformity (DoC) format. This requirement is part of Circular Letter No. 03 of 2025, issued to enforce better process consistency and faster evaluation times.
What’s Changing in the Certification Process?
The DJID outlined the following key changes:
-
Mandatory New Format Starting August 1:
Certification applications must use the revised DoC format (Attachment I of the circular). -
Grace Period Ends August 31:
Applications using the old format will be accepted only until August 31, 2025. -
Full Scope:
Applies to all telecom tools and devices covered by Indonesia’s technical standard regulations.
Why Indonesia telecom certification Matters for Manufacturers
This requirement is a critical compliance milestone for local applicants and global manufacturers targeting the Indonesian market. The new format aims to:
-
Improve administrative efficiency
-
Reduce delays caused by non-standard documentation
-
Ensure alignment with national law and Ministerial regulations
Failure to meet the new documentation standards after August 31 will result in automatic rejection. DJID’s supporting visuals on page 2 of the circular highlight the implementation timeline and scope.
