Honduras’s National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) has launched a public consultation regarding updates to the National Frequency Allocation Plan (PNAF). This consultation, open from October 10 to 18 but now extended to Oct 28th, invites stakeholders to provide feedback on new spectrum allocations, particularly affecting mobile and broadcasting services across various frequency bands, including 453-457.5 MHz, 698-806 MHz, and 3300-3700 MHz.
The changes in frequency allocation will impact telecom equipment, infrastructure equipment, and broadcasting devices, needing to meet compliance with new spectrum allocations and licensing requirements. The update also incorporates decisions from the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference (CMR-23) and references ITU standards.
Companies operating in the affected bands are advised to review the consultation details, participate in the public feedback process, and prepare for potential adjustments to their compliance procedures.
