The Engineering, Planning, and Standards Branch of ISED Canada opened public consultations on May 2023 on the following standards:
- RSS-198, Issue 1: Flexible Use Broadband Equipment Operating in the Band 3900-3980 MHz, which sets out the requirements for equipment certification of flexible use equipment used in fixed and/or mobile services operating in the band
- RSS-252, Issue 2: Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) On-Board Units (OBUs) in the 5895 – 5925 MHz Band, which is intended to establish the technical parameters for the use of C-V2X in Canada.
For both public consultations, the regulator is seeking comments and suggestions for improving these standards.
The deadline to receive contributions are July 14th and 28th respectively.
