Back

On 14 February 2023, IMDA Singapore published a consultation document on the proposal for the allocation of a 6 GHz Band. The consultation will end on 14 March 2023:

IMDA proposes to allocate the lower 500 MHz of the 6 GHz band (5,925 MHz – 6,425 MHz, for RLAN / Wi-Fi use).

With upper 700 MHz of the 6 GHz band (6,425 MHz – 7,125 MHz). Upper band IMDA will continue to review in the future

IMDA’s proposed technical requirements for RLAN use in the lower 500 MHz:

– With Very Low Power (VLP):

Max EIRP: 14 dBm (25 mW) for use indoors and outdoors;

Max EIRP density: 1dBm/MHz or 10dBm/MHz for narrowband usage (Use on unmanned aircraft systems/drones is prohibited).

– With Low Power Indoor (LPI): For use indoor only

Max EIRP: 24 dBm (250mW)

Max EIRP density: 11 dBm/MHz

– With Standard Power (SP) devices: IMDA will continue to review in the future
