On June 13th, 2022, TEC announced the amendments to their previous notice
Ref: No. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/112 dated 31/01/2022 Subject: Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) Phase-III and IV products-reg. These amendments will take effect immediately.
Amendments:
- Extension of date of mandatory certification of MTCTE phase-III and IV products by 12 months, from 01/07/2022 to 01/07/2023.
- Extension of the last date of acceptance of test reports issued by labs accredited by ILAC signatories from non-border sharing countries by 12 months for technical parameters only i.e from 30/06/2022 to 30/06/2023 for products that were initially given ILAS relaxation till 30/06/2022 vide above-referred amendment dated 31/01/2022.
These amendments apply to all the products mentioned in the above notification except those mentioned in gazette S.O 2372(E) dated 24/05/2022. All other conditions in notification No. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/112 remain the same.
