MALAYSIA: MCMC Announces Certification Requirements for SRD in Frequency Band 5925–6425 MHz

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) published that the Short-Range Devices (SRD) that operates in the frequency 5925–6425 MHz, including Wi-Fi 6E, would be approved after complying with the following aspects:

Option 1, Test report issued based on standard Draft ETSI EN 303 687 or any equivalent standard:

  1. Comply with the following Maximum Power:
  1. The test standard must be according to the scope of accreditation of the accredited laboratory. Otherwise, SIRIM must be a witness of the testing if the test standard is not covered in the testing laboratory’s scope of accreditation or, the testing is performed by a non-accredited laboratory.

Option 2:

The testing is performed at RF&EMC Testing Laboratory of SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.
