ARGENTINA: ENACOM Awarded Lab Accreditation for In Country Testing on Medical Devices, Radio Base Transceivers, and Cellular User Terminals

Back

On September 01st, 2021 ENACOM published the Resolution 1248/2021 to formally assign to the Lab INTI (INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE TECNOLOGÍA INDUSTRIAL) as an Accredited Laboratory for the following Testing Standards:

-ENACOM-Q2-61.03 V17.1: User Terminals for Mobile Communication Systems
-ENACOM-Q2-60.15 V19.1: Medical Devices
-ENACOM-Q2-61.04 V17.1: Radio Base Transceivers of Mobile Communication Services

This accreditation revokes the use of Declarations of Conformity and enters into force the in-country testing for medical devices and radio base transceivers, whereas for cellular terminals the local testing would become mandatory only when International certification is not available. This resolution has established an adaptation period of 180 days, hence local testing will be applicable from March 2022.
