On March 2021, India’s Ministry Of Electronics And Information Technology (Meity) published the “Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirement of Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021″. Now Meity has published an amendment for cases where the manufacturers are already registered and that will include new locations within Indian territory. The Order shall be deferred by six months (when the requirements are met as mentioned in Article 6 in the amendment); there is also an additional transition period for labeling for such cases (Article 7).
