INDONESIA: SDPPI Allows Introduction of 5G Under Regulation NOMOR 5 TAHUN 2021

Back

The authority Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika (SDPPI) of Indonesia has published the 5G Standards under NOMOR 5 TAHUN 2021, which opens the bands 1,3, 5, 8, and 40 for type approval of this technology. After confirming to several local labs, they’re still not capable of performing 5G testing at this point. However, it might be possible to apply through the paperwork method. The certification process is expected to become more familiar as 5G devices start to be introduced in the Indonesian market in the near future.
