The South Korea RRA (Radio Research Agency), is going to introduce new changes in the Telecommunications regulation and it’s expected the regulation will relax unlike before. This is a preliminary draft of said changes, and the main points are the following:
– Reclassifying of some wired terminal equipment into DoC category (Article 3).
– Excluding typing identification such as the product specification, the frequency, RF output power, and others on the certification. (Article 7,9,13 & Appendix 3&9).
– Clarifying and specifying the required documentations due to reclassifying some equipment into DoC category (Article 10).
Extending the scope of technical permissible (and modification) changes of the conformity assessment criteria (Article 15).
– If there are update components or parts to the certified models, additional test and report to RRA is not required if these ones are KC certified ones.
– Securing the objectivity and the rationality on the criteria for the determination of the administrative sanction and the non-compliance of the market surveillance (Article 22)
This changes are mostly an addendum of RRA No 2014-12 and deals also on conformity assessment such as certification and regulatory labelling.
