CANADA: ISED Publishes Consultation for Certification of Equipment Employed in RRBS

Back

On August 2, 2018, the Department of Innovation, Sciences, and Economic development from Canada (ISED) published the official document to joint the consultation of radio standards specification (RSS-196). It comprises Issue 2 that covers point-to-multipoint broadband equipment that operates in the bands 512-608 MHz for rural remote broadband systems (RRBS) (tv channels 21 to 36), and also that replaces Issue 2 that applies for the same equipment that covers the channels from 21 to 51.
The main changes that this document proposes are removing the band 614-698 MHz, removing the section on receiver spurious emission and also refer to RSS-Gen instead of RSS-210 (for category I equipment).
