VIETNAM: MIC Issues Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT Replacing 2016 Version

On May 8, 2018, MIC (Ministry of Information and Communications) of Vietnam issued Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT focused on a list of regulations for potentially unsafe products and goods under MIC management.

This Circular takes effect as of July 1, 2018, and replaces Circular No. 42/2016/TT-BTTTT of December 26, 2016. 

Recently, MIC just published an official guide for Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT, which is applied for 60GHz high rate radio access equipment, spread spectrum products at band 2.4GHz and wireless access products at band 5GHz, lithium battery for tablets, cell phone, notebook, and laptops. Additionally, requirements in 30/2011/TT-BTTTT, there are some new additional requirements listed for test reports.


 If your products, which fall within the category of wireless 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and has EIRP under 60mW, you will be exempt from providing TAC and DOC.
